i saw Venice drowned
in screams
Casanova dancing
shores up
saluting jilting waves
personifying shame
love-dormant gondolas
confiscated patrons
denying disease
waiting for a salt water release
Piazza San Marco's pigeons
mourning the death of non-existent trees
oxygen collapses
when the romance
gets trapped
i found Venice floating
aimless for its dreams....
