This album is a product of my music composition laboratory, where I transform into music, objects that seemingly have nothing to do with it: space, numbers, functions and geometrical figures. Music becomes data to be processed with the tools of informatics like the spread sheets. The first result to this end was my first album, Ars mathematica, produced in 2011.
With Silhoemes I continued to explore the synergy between musical art and other disciplines, setting into music, photographic images, geographic elements, forms, colors, and poems. The title of the CD comes from the combination of the words "silhouette" and "phoneme" and refers to the main operation experimented here, of transforming images into music.
It contains a booklet in Italian, English and Russian.
